[About the teacher]

To get along well in another language, it helps to have a guide, someone who has been there before. I've learned two languages already: Korean and Japanese, and though I'm confident in speaking both of them, neither has been easy for me. Mostly I taught myself, and there were many struggles doing it alone. Many times in the past, I wish I had a good teacher to help me. But now, I wish to be that good teacher for you!

외국어를 잘 배우려면, 경험이 있는 가이드가 있으면 좋겠죠!! 저는 이미 두가지 언어를 습득했어요: 한국어도 배웠고, 일본어도 배웠는데 두개 언어 다 나름 자신있게 구사할 수 있는데에도 불구하고, 어느 하나 쉽지 않았습니다. 주로 독학으로 배워서 힘들 때가 많았어요. 좋은 선생님이 나를 도와주면 좋겠다하고 오랫동안 소망했답니다. 앞으로 우리 수강생을 위해 좋은 선생님이 되고 싶어요!

[About the class]

You can count on getting these things from each class:

• 1. A warm atmosphere to make everyone feel comfortable.
• 2. Exact, but brief explanations about important expressions and grammar.
• 3. A variety of topics to practice speaking with, not only with your fellow classmates but also of course with the teacher.
• 4. Frequent review of things learned, so that you can retain what you've studied.

매 수업마다 이런것들을 얻어갈수 있습니다.:

• 1. 모두를 편하게 만드는 따뜻한 분위기.
• 2. 짧지만 정확한 중요한 표현과 핵심적인 문법 설명.
• 3. 다양한 대화 주제. 물론 선생님하고도 얘기를 나누고, 같은 반 수강생들하고도 얘기를 나누고요.

[About the concept]

There are three important things for learning to speak a language: input, interaction, and feedback. This is what I always focus on in class. Teaching the expressions that I know most Koreans want to learn, because my students have taught me what they are. Next, I do my best to find approachable topics that give everyone a chance to use what they've learned. And finally, using my knowledge of both Korean and English, I can give the exact feedback that's the key to improving and speaking more clearly and correctly. I try to do a variety of activities to keep the class fresh every day, but you can be sure that I always keep these three goals in mind the whole time.

[수업 실념]

외국어를 배울 때 3가지 중요한 것들이 있습니다: 인풋, 상호작용, 그리고 피드백. 수업시간에 항상 이 3가지에 집중합니다. 영어를 가르친 12년간 넘은 경험을 통해서 알게된 수강생들이 필요한 표현, 바로 그것을 인풋으로 전달합니다. 그 다음에, 대화를 나누며 배운 것을 써먹기 위해서 수강생 레벨에 맞는 주제를 최대한 찾으려고 합니다. 마지막으로, 제 영어와 한국어 지식을 활용해서, 알맞게 영어를 할 수 있게, 즉 영어실력을 향상시키는데 놓지면 안 되는 정확한 피드백을 해드립니다. 매일매일의 수업이 신선하게 느낄수 있도록 다양한 활동을 하도록 노력할 것이며 저는 항상 이 3가지 목표를 염두에 두고 있겠습니다.
